January beauty favorites!

Happy February 1st and most importantly happy Black History Month! Because January is now over I wanted to do a recap for you guys of my favorite products from the past month. Some, I picked up the last week of January and fell in love with, while others I used literally every single day and continue to be obsessed with.

1. DevaCurl Mist-er Right

Curly girls, consider this your new fave! For those days when my curls need a quick refresher, this is my go-to. I mainly use it on day three or day four hair, when my curls are starting to loose their luster before wash day. I use my spray bottle to get my hair damp, then spritz this all over my curls and begin scrunching with a microfiber towel. It never fails to bring my curls back to life!

2. Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

I picked this baby up towards the end of January and it has quickly become my absolute favorite setting powder. It’s insanely lightweight and the finish is incredibly smooth. I pat this lightly under my eyes with a powder brush after applying my concealer and my makeup sets all day long.

3. Sigma Flat Kabuki Brush (F80)

Some of my favorite brushes of all time have come from Sigma Beauty, so when the babes at Sigma sent me one of their brush sets I wasn’t surprised how quickly I fell in love. This one in particular has become a staple in my beauty routine because of its soft bristles and super smooth application. See my entire Sigma Beauty haul review here!

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Foundation Stick

Coming from someone who was strictly a liquid foundation girl, the fact that I love this so much says something, trust me. Since picking this up, the only other foundation I’ve used has been my Urban Decay All-Nighter. I swear I can’t get enough of this. The formula is super smooth, easy to apply and the finish sets matte which is a WIN. It lasts all day and feels literally weightless on my skin.

5. DevaCurl Heaven In Hair

Again curly girls, this one’s for you! This is the most incredible deep conditioners I’ve ever tried. It has 100 percent helped moisturize and soften my hair over the past month. I love switching between this and my DevaCurl One Condition Conditioner as a deep conditioner. I distribute this all throughout my hair after washing and leave it in for 30 minutes under a heat cap. The end result is unbelievably smooth and moisturized hair. Just like all DevaCurl products, it’s sulfate, paraben and silicone free! Plus, it smells so freakin’ GOOD. See my quick and easy deep conditioning routine here.

6. Benefit 3D Brow Tones

First of all, how cute is this packaging? It’s so compact and travel-sized, which I adore. The purpose of the brow tones is to highlight your brows and set them in place. I personally love it because it doesn’t add any crazy color to your brows, it simply gives them a slight highlight. In my case, I like to darken my brows using a dark brown pencil, then go in with this over it once or twice for a tint.

7. NYX HD Finishing Powder

Unlike the Laura Mercier powder which I usually only use under my eyes, this finishing powder is great for all over your face. After applying my foundation and any other concealer on my face, I take this on a powder brush and lightly apply it all over my face. It’s not a loose powder which allows it to easily blend into your makeup without giving your face that cake-y look.

8. Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

This is hands-down one of my favorite concealers of all time. It lasts all day and isn’t too thick or creamy, so it won’t crease throughout the day. It’s great for problem areas throughout my face as well as under my eyes. The formula is extremely light and not too drying (so important when it comes to a concealer!) My color is “deep.”

What are some of your favorite products from January 2017? Drop em’ in the comments! xx ❤️
